Scott – “Arden’s Day”
Scott is a stay at home father whose daughter Arden was diagnosed with Type 1 just after her second birthday in the summer of 2006. When his daughter began using an insulin pump, he witnessed the enormous benefits that technology can have on both the diabetic and the family. Passionate, Scott has made it his mission to get insulin pumps and other diabetes technology into the hands of children whose family’s cannot afford it. He is currently in the process of starting his own charitable organization to do so. Check out his blog to learn how you can help. Visit Scott’s Blog: “Arden’s Day”.

Oh Lilly: Coco, Sleepovers and Me
Remember back in August when I gave away ten copies of ‘Coco’s First Sleepover’ and I told you that sometime way in the future, I’d be participating in a Lilly Diabetes press junket to talk about sleepovers and diabetes? Little People, Big Problems
It’s easy to look at children and imagine their lives as simple. It’s easy to think that their concerns couldn’t be as deep or strongly felt as yours. Who knows why? Perhaps because they are smaller or maybe they seem protected simply because of their age? I did a Google image search on the word… Read More

Seven Years Later
It’s 2:45 in the morning on August 22, 2013 and I can’t sleep. I’m tired but not in the way that I remember tired feeling seven years ago. Seven years ago when I felt tired, I’d shut my eyes and go to sleep, the process felt natural and without repercussion. Seven years later, I forget what it’s… Read More
