Hallie – “The Princess and the Pump”
Hallie’s daughter, who she affectionately refers to as “Sweetpea” in her blog, was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes just weeks after she turned 3-years-old. Hallie admits that her daughter’s diagnosis changed her life, but not all in a bad way. Hallie has taken an active role in advocating for and educating others about type 1 diabetes. She has also found a tremendous amount of support through her blog, which has helped her to work through her feelings as well as connect with countless others in similar situations. Hallie could not imagine managing her daughter’s diabetes with anyone other than her husband J, who takes an equally active role in Sweetpea’s care. Visit Hallie’s Blog: “The Princess and the Pump”.
